Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kasese, Uganda

- After the trek, return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out.
- Transfer to Kasese, Uganda, via the Cyanika or Gatuna border.
- Arrive in Kasese and check into your accommodation.

Day 5: Rwenzori Mountains National Park – Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba Hut
- Morning transfer to Nyakalengija, the starting point of the Rwenzori trek.
- Begin your trek to Nyabitaba Hut, the first overnight stop.
- Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rwenzori Mountains along the trail.
- Arrive at Nyabitaba Hut and rest for the evening.

Day 6: Nyabitaba Hut to John Matte Hut

- Pass through the Kurt Shaffer Bridge and traverse the bamboo forest.
- Ascend to John Matte Hut, your accommodation for the night.

Day 7: John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut
- Trek from John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut, crossing the Bigo Bog along the way.

- Arrive at Bujuku Hut, situated near the Bujuku Lake.
- Rest and relax at the hut, surrounded by the beauty of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 8: Bujuku Hut to Elena Hut (Optional Summit Attempt)
- For those attempting the summit: Early morning start for the climb to the Elena Hut.
- The trek to Elena Hut involves steep and challenging terrain.
- Reach Elena Hut, the highest hut on the Rwenzori Mountains.
- Rest and acclimatize at Elena Hut before summit day.
- For those not attempting the summit: Enjoy a day of relaxation and exploration around Bujuku Hut.
- Overnight stay at Elena Hut or Bujuku Hut.
Day 9: Summit Day – Margherita Peak (5,109m) and Descend to Kitandara Hut
- Early morning start for the summit attempt of Margherita Peak, the highest peak in the Rwenzori Mountains.
- Summit Margherita Peak and enjoy breathtaking views from the top.
- Descend back to Elena Hut and continue down to Kitandara Hut.
- Rest and recover at Kitandara Hut after the challenging summit day.
- Overnight stay at Kitandara Hut.
Day 10: Kitandara Hut to Nyakalengija and Transfer to Kasese
- Trek from Kitandara Hut back to Nyakalengija, the end point of the Rwenzori trek.
- Descend through the forest and bamboo zones, enjoying the scenery along the way.
- Arrive at Nyakalengija and transfer back to Kasese.
- Check into your accommodation in Kasese and relax after the trek.
- Overnight stay in Kasese.
Day 11: Departure from Kasese
- Transfer to the airport for your departure flight or onward travel arrangements.
